After a rotation with a Pelvic Health Specialist, Tess became intrigued by the treatment of pelvic floor conditions. She pursued additional coursework at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and obtained certification in Dry Needling. Tess underwent specialized training to effectively address various pelvic floor conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and constipation. Her decision to become a physical therapist was driven by her innate desire to assist others. Early volunteer experiences during her college years allowed her to witness firsthand how physical therapists educated and empowered patients, enabling them to regain control over their ailments and heal through movement. One aspect of her job that Tess particularly enjoys is the opportunity to build genuine and individualized relationships with each patient. She invests time in learning about their hobbies and goals, which enables her to develop creative treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
