Terri Sullivan, a physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University, specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and is a board-certified clinical specialist in this field. She completed her undergraduate studies at Western Washington University and pursued her Physical Therapy School education at the University of Washington. Terri is also a certified yoga instructor and has a keen interest in prescribing custom orthotics, custom bike fitting, and pelvic health physical therapy.
Terri’s treatment approaches are influenced by her extensive training in the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Postural Restoration, and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. She believes in collaborating with her patients to achieve excellent results and encourages them to approach each session with an open mind and patience to learn.
In her free time, Terri stays active by participating in activities such as running, biking, swimming, hiking, and yoga, which she also teaches at the clinic. Her favorite recovery food is almond butter, but she enjoys consuming any protein-rich meal. Terri finds her creative outlet in cooking, although she prefers to follow recipes rather than experimenting.
Terri’s love for her dog, hiking with her husband, the smell of the ocean, and the warmth of a northwest summer are things she cannot live without. In her earlier years, she worked at a movie theater, and her favorite sports team is the Seattle Supersonics, which she deeply misses. In an alternate universe, Terri would have pursued a career as a paleontologist, archaeologist, or actress.
Terri’s physical therapy philosophy revolves around examining the neuromusculoskeletal system to determine the best course of treatment and improve patients’ overall function. She is actively involved in her community by providing yoga services at the clinic. Terri considers the Pacific Northwest, particularly Seattle, her hometown, and her favorite places in the world are either on the beach or in the mountains.
With nearly two decades of experience, Terri emphasizes the importance of adaptability, active listening, intuition, and having fun with each patient. She believes that through teamwork and cooperation, she can help her patients achieve their goals and excel in their physical well-being.
