Dr. Terri Robertson Elder (she/her) is a passionate collaborator who works closely with individuals facing uncertainty about pelvic, bladder, or bowel symptoms. Her goal is to help them find understanding and relief, allowing them to thrive and discover joy in movement and sports. To make her personalized model of Physical Therapy more accessible, Terri established Thrive Physical Therapy. The clinic offers a variety of options, including mobile visits in Brevard, NC and the surrounding areas, telehealth visits, and in-clinic appointments in a serene spa-like setting.

Terri’s journey in the field of healthcare began when she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 2014. Prior to that, she enjoyed a successful career as a neuromuscular massage therapist and educator for over a decade. For the past six years, Terri has been practicing as a Physical Therapist in both acute care and outpatient settings at a prominent hospital system. During this time, she developed a keen interest in oncology treatment and pelvic health. Terri is also certified as a Kripalu yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, and a Lymphedema Therapist. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as part-time faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy at Georgia State University.

In 2019, Terri relocated to Brevard, NC in search of a vibrant community and more opportunities to explore hiking and biking trails. She shares her life with her partner, their two-year-old child, and their beloved dog named Whiskey. Despite initially being a reluctant runner, Terri has become an avid enthusiast. She also has a passion for food, music, and weightlifting. Terri’s mission is to actively demonstrate love by approaching herself and others with curiosity and compassion. She strives to cultivate health and wellness for all individuals she encounters.
