Stephanie Nguyen, PT, DPT, is a native of Phoenix who obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2011. In January 2020, she made the transition from her beloved position at Spooner Physical Therapy in Phoenix, AZ, to Olympic Sport and Spine Physical Therapy in Gig Harbor, WA.

Stephanie’s personal experience with pelvic floor rehabilitation after the birth of her son in 2015 heightened her awareness of the need for specialized treatment and its effectiveness. This prompted her to pursue continuing education courses at the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute, while actively treating patients who faced similar challenges during their postpartum period. Additionally, Stephanie has a significant history of endometriosis and surgical intervention, which grants her a deep understanding and empathy for the symptoms experienced by many of her patients.

With over seven years of experience in pelvic health, Stephanie incorporates her orthopedic background and training into her approach with patients. She provides treatment to both males and females, focusing on various conditions such as fecal or urinary incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, pelvic organ prolapse, bowel and bladder dysfunction, post-hernia repair, and treatment following pelvic cancers. She also addresses hip and low back pain associated with childbirth or surgery, as well as lumbosacral and sacroiliac dysfunction and coccydynia.

Stephanie understands the significant psychological and emotional stress that accompanies these diagnoses. Her personal journey has given her a profound understanding of the life-altering challenges her patients face during their treatment and symptom management. She is committed to demonstrating empathy and compassion, building strong one-on-one relationships with her patients to determine the best course of care that allows them to regain normal function.

Driven by her passion for elevating standards of healthcare, Stephanie provides outstanding, individualized care. She believes in continually educating herself, implementing evidence-based rehabilitation techniques, employing advanced manual therapy methods, and incorporating functional training. Through this comprehensive approach, she aims to improve the overall well-being of her patients and enhance their quality of life.
