For 20 of the 30 years in their career, the individual has worked as a pelvic medicine therapist in an outpatient physical therapy setting. They have received specialized education from various experienced physical therapists and organizations, including Elizabeth Noble, Herman and Wallace, Janet Hulme, Tracy Sher, the International Pelvic Pain Society, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Collaborating with Dr. Veronica Triaca, a urogynecologist, they have played a pivotal role in designing and establishing a pelvic medicine clinic. This clinic has since expanded to include other physical therapists, gynecologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and behavioral medicine professionals. In addition to their clinical work, they have also given presentations to both small and large educational and community groups on women’s and men’s health topics. Their primary responsibility is serving as a clinical leader at a large outpatient orthopedic practice four days a week, while dedicating one day a week to the pelvic medicine site.
