Rachel is an Occupational Therapist based in Denver, Colorado. In 2013, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University. Her career began in home health, where she focused on caring for the geriatric population and specialized in Dementia Care and Parkinson’s Disease.

After her experience in home health, Rachel spent six years working in the Denver Health hospital system. She worked in acute and inpatient rehab in the level one trauma hospital, gaining valuable expertise in this setting. Later, she joined the Acute Center for Eating Disorders unit, where she became the first occupational therapist to achieve the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation from the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

During her tenure at Denver Health, Rachel noticed a significant connection between eating disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. This realization motivated her to pursue further education and professional development in the field of pelvic health. She has extensively studied pelvic floor dysfunction through both traditional and western medical approaches, completing courses in biofeedback, Pelvic Floor level 1, 2A, and 2B offered by Herman and Wallace.

Rachel’s passions extend beyond her work in occupational therapy. She is deeply committed to reproductive health, social justice, and trauma-informed care. In 2022, she will open her private practice, aiming to better serve her community with a comprehensive approach to healthcare.

With her diverse experiences and dedication to her patients’ well-being, Rachel is poised to make a positive impact in the field of occupational therapy and pelvic health.
