She is certified in Functional Manual Therapy™ by the Institute of Physical Art, Pilates by Polestar Pilates, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR by the American Red Cross. Rachel is also board-certified in Women’s Health through the American Physical Therapy Association.
As a dedicated professional, Rachel is a member of several esteemed organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association’s Women’s Health Section, the National Association of Continence, the International Pelvic Pain Society, and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health.
With over 19 years of experience, Rachel specializes in treating pelvic and spinal pain, incontinence, pre- and postnatal conditions, knee and shoulder problems, sports injuries, and headaches. Her expertise lies in combining manual physical therapy with active patient movement, a treatment approach known as Certified Functional Manual Therapy™ (CFMT). This advanced clinical certification is only held by a select few therapists in Pennsylvania. By incorporating resistance training and specific exercises, Rachel aims to eliminate pain and achieve optimal and speedy results for her patients.
Rachel’s commitment to comprehensive care extends beyond manual therapy. She has successfully integrated her training in Pilates and Yoga to enhance the effectiveness of her treatments. Moreover, she continuously expands her treatment techniques by incorporating visceral mobilization, a gentle touch technique that restores balance to the organs.
As one of the three Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialists at Empower Physical Therapy, Rachel remains dedicated to providing the highest level of care to her patients. With each passing year, she strives to integrate new treatment techniques and approaches to ensure her patients receive the best possible outcomes.
