Dr. Rachel Benjamin, PT DPT, is a licensed physical therapist based in Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University before going on to obtain her Doctorate in physical therapy with honors from Simmons College. With over 7 years of experience, Dr. Benjamin has dedicated her career to working at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where she specializes in Spinal Cord Injury and Comprehensive Rehabilitation. In addition to her regular duties, she played a key role in launching Spaulding’s Inpatient Women’s Health PT program.

Throughout her time at Spaulding, Dr. Benjamin has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring graduate students and new therapists. She also serves as a lab instructor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her expertise lies in assisting patients and their families in navigating life after spinal cord injuries, providing them with valuable guidance on various aspects, including sexual education and mobility skills.

Dr. Benjamin has furthered her professional development by earning her Level 1 Women’s Health Certification through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Additionally, she has attended John Barnes’ course on myofascial release, expanding her knowledge in this area. To stay up-to-date with the latest practices and research, she regularly attends the Annual APTA MA conference and collaborates closely with other clinicians.

Recently, Dr. Benjamin had the opportunity to present at the Regional Conference on Neurological Conditions, where she shared her expertise on the pelvic floor. Her dedication to providing comprehensive care and staying informed on advancements in her field make her a valuable asset to her patients and the healthcare community.
