During the first ten years of her career, she focused on honing her skills in assessing and treating various orthopedic issues, with a particular emphasis on the spine, sacro-iliac joint, and pelvis. However, since 2005, Dr. Nazari has shifted her educational and clinical focus to pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Dr. Nazari is passionate about utilizing different forms of biofeedback in conjunction with manual therapy and patient education to promote optimal function in individuals. She became a fellow and obtained board certification in the use of Biofeedback for Pelvic Muscle Disorders in 2011. Driven by the belief that knowledge empowers individuals, she places a strong emphasis on educating and raising awareness about the importance of pelvic health among the community, physicians, and other practitioners.
In addition to her teaching role at the Herman and Wallace Rehab Institute, Dr. Nazari has recently been appointed as a clinical instructor at George Washington University in the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Care Science. She actively seeks to expand her own knowledge by attending various conferences and is a member of both the International Pelvic Pain Society and the National Vulvodynia Association.
Dr. Nazari’s reputation in the field of pelvic rehabilitation is highly esteemed. She established a highly regarded pelvic rehab program from scratch at a local hospital where she dedicated 18 years of her career. Currently, she practices at a multidisciplinary wellness center in McLean, Virginia.
