In 2010, the individual began their journey at Dominican College in New York, where they obtained a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. During their time in college, they participated in a research study called the meaning of Aging in Place: from the Elderly’s Perspective, which was accepted at the 90th Annual Conference in April 2010 by the American Occupational Therapy Association. This experience ignited their passion for helping others achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
They have also completed an advanced 7-day course for Pelvic floor therapy instructed by Tiffany Ellsworth Lee MA, OTR, BCB-PMD, PRPC, and Jane Kaufman PT, M.Ed, BCB-PMD. The course focused on “Biofeedback evaluation and treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction,” along with a lab component called “Hands-on Biofeedback for complex pelvic floor cases.” They have dedicated over 65 hours of training to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Currently, they provide in-home pelvic floor therapy using bio-feedback. Their areas of expertise include treating conditions such as urinary incontinence, urinary incontinence after prostate cancer surgery, prostatitis, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, stress incontinence, pudendal nerve entrapment/chronic pelvic pain syndrome, chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), prolapse/organ descent, vulvodynia, vaginismus, post-pregnancy care, mastitis/clogged milk duct, diastasis recti, and low back pain. Their ultimate goal is to assist individuals in improving their overall well-being and reclaiming their quality of life.
