Dr. Buss is the Director of Education at Bodycentral Physical Therapy. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science with a Certificate in Pathokinesiology.
Dr. Buss has a wide range of advanced training and specializations. She is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She is also a graduate of the ABPTRFE Certified Residency Program in Women and Men’s Health. In her role as the Education & Residencies Coordinator at Bodycentral, she serves as the primary mentor for residency programs.
Dr. Buss has a strong interest and extensive training in orthopaedic topics and women’s health. Her areas of expertise include spinal manipulation and mobilization, myofascial release, gynecologic visceral manipulation, and functional analysis and management of the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex. She is also skilled in various women’s health treatment techniques, such as those for incontinence, pelvic pain, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, painful bladder syndrome, pain with intercourse, and osteoporosis. Additionally, she has specialized knowledge in pregnancy and post-partum care, including high-risk pregnancy, as well as tailbone and coccyx pain. Dr. Buss is experienced in female athlete rehabilitation and conditioning, pediatric incontinence, constipation, and bedwetting, and men’s health issues like prostatitis, incontinence, pelvic pain, and post-prostatectomy rehabilitation. She is also trained in lymphedema therapy and post-oncologic rehabilitation for breast, pelvic, gynecologic, and prostate cancers. Furthermore, Dr. Buss is skilled in dry needling techniques.
Dr. Buss is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, specifically the Women’s Health Section. She holds a physical therapy license in Arizona and has teaching experience as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Buss enjoys spending time with her loved ones, listening to and singing along to music, hiking, cooking, reading, and crafting. She has a passion for traveling and believes that life is a grand adventure.
