Melissa Hines, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist (PT) in Massachusetts. She graduated magna cum laude from Simmons College with a doctorate in physical therapy. Throughout her career, Melissa has gained experience in various holistic settings, specializing in GYROTONIC® rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, myofascial release, visceral manipulation, and craniosacral therapy.
Melissa holds a specialization in Pelvic Floor PT for both women and men, which she acquired through the prestigious Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Her training in myofascial release, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and GYROTONIC® has been instrumental in treating orthopedic conditions. To further enhance her skills, Melissa has completed continuing education courses at advanced institutes such as the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Barral Institute of Visceral Manipulation, John Barnes for advanced myofascial release, Upledger for Craniosacral therapy, and is a certified GYROTONIC® instructor.
Melissa is passionate about teaching and currently mentors other physical therapists and students in the field. Her aim is to empower therapists to think holistically in their approach to patient care. Melissa’s expertise extends beyond pelvic health to include autoimmune conditions and orthopedic issues. To provide comprehensive care, she is currently undergoing training at the Institute of Functional Medicine. This additional knowledge will enable her to incorporate manual therapies as well as dietary and supplement recommendations to address the root causes of various conditions.
