Melia, a highly educated and skilled professional, obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. She furthered her studies and achieved a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Mount St Mary’s College. Melia completed her post-professional residency in Orthopedics at Kaiser West Los Angeles, specializing in this field.

As a Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS), Melia finds great joy in working with athletes at the high school and collegiate levels, as well as individuals who engage in weekend sports activities. In addition to her expertise in Orthopedics, she has a particular focus on Women’s Health. Melia offers treatments for pelvic floor dysfunction, which may involve addressing issues such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, low back pain, diastasis recti, and pre/post-natal care. Her approach places a strong emphasis on helping women regain their active lifestyle or return to their sport after childbirth.

Melia is also a Certified Pilates Teacher (CPT) and effectively integrates her knowledge into the rehabilitative process. She recognizes the benefits of incorporating alternative therapies and offers light touch treatments such as Craniosacral Therapy.
