Melanie Massey Groves graduated from Louisiana State Medical Center in Shreveport, LA in 1993. For the past 25 years, she has been working as an outpatient physical therapist and is the owner of Melanie Massey Physical Therapy. With a total of 5 clinics in North Louisiana, Melanie Massey Physical Therapy provides treatment for individuals of all ages and with a wide range of conditions.

Initially, Melanie focused on pediatrics, which also allowed her to gain expertise in treating neurological disorders. However, in 2014, she developed a keen interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation. After attending a course by Herman Wallace, she became the state’s first Pelvic Therapy Practitioner Certified Clinician (PRPC). Since then, Melanie has expanded her practice to provide treatment for adult females, males, and children with various pelvic floor conditions.

At Melanie Massey Physical Therapy, three practitioners specialize in pelvic floor conditions such as dyspareunia (painful intercourse), urge urinary incontinence, urinary frequency, stress incontinence, post-prostatectomy issues for men, and pediatric incontinence including bedwetting, neurogenic bladder, and kidney reflux disorders. Melanie also has successful experience in treating constipation and fecal incontinence.

The clinic is well-equipped with biofeedback, neuromuscular electric stimulation, and tools for patients to use in their home program for pelvic floor treatment. With a team of 70 employees, Melanie Massey Physical Therapy offers specialists in various areas, including lymphedema, sacroiliac dysfunction, hip and pelvic girdle disorders, and breath and overall movement problems.
