She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware in 2006 and has since focused her career on working with patients with pelvic diagnoses. In 2013, she obtained the Women’s Health Board Certified Specialist (WCS) certification from the American Physical Therapy Association. For the first eight years of her career, she worked in a private practice, treating orthopedic and pelvic health conditions. In 2015, she transitioned to a large hospital-based outpatient facility, VCU Health, where she is part of a dedicated team of pelvic health therapists. They offer their services at various locations in the Richmond area and cater to adults of all ages and genders. The team provides treatment for a range of conditions, including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, constipation, fecal incontinence, abdominal pain, interstitial cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), pain during intercourse, acute and chronic pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, post-surgical rehabilitation for gender reassignment, prenatal and postpartum concerns (including diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA), pubic symphysis separation/pain, pelvic girdle pain), scar healing concerns, and more. As the VCU Health website does not provide detailed information about her practice, she encourages interested individuals to contact her directly via email with any questions. Outside of work, she personally competes in Master’s Artistic (Synchronized) Swimming as a member of her local masters team.
