Megan (she/her) obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2021. Since graduating, she has focused her practice on pelvic floor therapy, where she has developed a strong passion for the field and helping individuals achieve overall wellness through a holistic approach. A member of the APTA section on Pelvic Health, Megan is certified in internal and external vaginal exams by the APTA and holds a certification in lumbopelvic dry needling from Intricate Arts. She provides care to patients of all genders and ages.
Megan’s particular interests lie in treating chronic pelvic pain and working with the LGBTQIA+ population. As a trauma-informed therapist, she recognizes the impact of trauma on pain and quality of life. She also specializes in addressing urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, constipation, diastasis recti, vaginismus, dyspareunia, post-prostatectomy, pre and post gender affirmation surgery, and postpartum/pregnancy conditions. Additionally, Megan is an avid runner, with a preference for marathons and ultramarathons, and she has a particular interest in helping women return to running after pregnancy.
Megan resides in Fayetteville, AR with her husband, Elliott, and their two children, Lola and Mabrey. Though she began her career in physical therapy later in life, Megan’s background as a former theatre kid has shaped her approach to patient care. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games at local breweries, coordinating the Mustache Running Club, reading dystopian novels, and volunteering at local races, often donning an inflatable chicken costume. Currently, Megan is the Lead Pelvic Floor Therapist at Rise Physical Therapy, where she practices at three clinics throughout NWA.
