The assistant graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University and has been a licensed physical therapist since 2003. They have gained experience in various healthcare settings, including acute rehabilitation, acute hospital, outpatient orthopedic, hospital outpatient, occupational health, home health, and pediatric early intervention.

Since 2015, the assistant has been studying and practicing pelvic rehabilitation in preparation for the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) exam. They have pursued additional education and training in pelvic rehabilitation, focusing on areas such as visceral mobilization, low pressure fitness, pre and postnatal care, and post-prostatectomy treatment.

Currently, the assistant operates their own private outpatient practice, providing care to ambulatory patients with neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, pregnancy and post-partum, chronic pain, oncologic, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Additionally, they offer specialized preventative fitness classes aimed at pregnancy recovery, pelvic organ prolapse prevention, and osteoporosis prevention and management. However, it should be noted that the assistant is not certified as a lymphedema therapist.
