Marnie Clemens PT, DPT, WCS, OCS, FAAOMPT, CKTP, FMT. has been a physical therapist for over 30 years. She specializes in the treatment of chronic pain in men, women, and children, with a particular focus on women’s health issues and pelvic floor rehabilitation in both women and men. Marnie received her Physical Therapy degree from West Virginia University and her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She also holds a degree in Psychology from Marshall University.
Marnie is highly qualified in her field, being a Board Certified Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. In addition, she holds additional certifications in nutrition and taping.
Marnie is an active member of various professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Fibromyalgia Association, Fibromyalgia Network, International Pelvic Pain Society, Interstitial Cystitis Association, Interstitial Cystitis Network, International Organization of Physical Therapists in Women’s Health, National Vulvodynia Association, National Osteoporosis Foundation, and APTA’s Sections on Women’s Health, Oncology, Neurology, and Geriatrics.
Aside from her clinical work, Marnie is also involved in academia. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for West Virginia University, where she teaches physical therapy students. She also teaches at Marshall University and serves as a clinical instructor, developing and delivering courses for other physical therapists, students, and assistants. Additionally, Marnie volunteers as the state representative for the Section on Women’s Health.
