Marielena, commonly known as Lena, earned her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida in 2005. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, which she obtained in 2003 from Florida Atlantic University. With over 17 years of experience, Lena has practiced Physical Therapy in various settings, including Women’s health, outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehab, subacute rehab, and home health Physical Therapy. Her diverse background has made her a well-rounded Physical Therapist with extensive knowledge in different areas.

Throughout her career, Lena has actively pursued continuing education to expand her expertise. She has received training in manual mobilization therapy, visceral mobilization therapy, functional exercise training, and scar mobilization. In 2020, she obtained her Pelvic Floor Practitioner Certification from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, demonstrating her commitment to specializing in this area. Additionally, Lena completed a certification program in Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercises with Sarah Duvall.

Lena’s dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and treatments is evident in her pursuit of training in Microcurrent Point Stimulation application for acute and chronic pain. She has also undergone specialized training in scar release therapy and obtained her Advanced Scar and Trauma Certification, which enables her to effectively address chronic pelvic pain.

Lena’s experience extends beyond women’s health issues, as she has successfully treated orthopedic injuries across the adult lifespan. However, she remains eager to deepen her understanding of manual techniques and further enhance her knowledge in women’s health issues.
