Milena began her career in 2001 at Mexico Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica, where she gained valuable experience in inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedic services. She demonstrated a strong passion for women’s health and took the initiative to develop a pelvic health rehabilitation program specifically designed for women.

Recognizing the need to expand the program to include men, Milena successfully treated pelvic pain and post-prostatectomy issues in male patients. She also had the opportunity to consult at hospital urogynecology, urodynamics, and orthopedic clinics, further enhancing her expertise in the field.

Throughout her career, Milena remained committed to practicing manual therapy and became known for her skills in this area. In fact, she established the first hospital-based pelvic floor rehabilitation program in Costa Rica, a testament to her dedication and innovation in the field.

To further her knowledge and expertise, Milena pursued a Masters in Sciences Movement and sought additional training in Japan, Argentina, and Uruguay. These experiences allowed her to broaden her perspective and incorporate different approaches into her practice.
