Lora is the Director of Mathis Pelvic Rehabilitation Clinic in Manhattan, KS. She obtained her doctorate of physical therapy from Shenandoah University in 2009 and completed her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification in November 2022. Lora also holds a Certified Spinal Manual Certification (CSMT) from the International Spine and Pain Institute, which provides her with a specialized orthopedic perspective on pelvic issues.
In 2018, Lora began her training in pelvic floor therapy with the APTA and Herman and Wallace. She has since accumulated over 150 hours of continuing education in pelvic health, including the use of rehabilitation ultrasound imaging through Prometheus. This diverse range of knowledge allows Lora to offer her patients a variety of strategies tailored to their individual needs.
Additionally, Lora obtained her Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Certification (CMTPT) in 2016, enabling her to utilize dry needling in her practice for muscle dysfunction and pelvic floor disorders. She takes a holistic approach to patient care, offering individualized, multimodal interventions such as biofeedback, rehabilitative ultrasound imaging, nutritional guidance, and functional exercise for all genders beyond traditional kegel exercises.
Outside of her clinical practice, Lora serves as a teaching assistant with the Herman and Wallace Institute, where she shares her passion for pelvic health with other healthcare professionals. She also serves as the Kansas State Representative for the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health, eager to educate her colleagues, PT/PTA students, and other health professionals in the field.
