Dr. [Name], a graduate of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and gained over 10 years of experience teaching group fitness. As a devoted wife, mother of two young girls, and a believer in God, her passion for women’s health physical therapy developed after the birth of her first child in 2016.

After experiencing firsthand the lack of information and support available to new mothers, Dr. [Name] felt compelled to learn more about the role of physical therapy in women’s health, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum phase. Recognizing the need for specialized care, she began actively pursuing additional education in 2018. She completed numerous online continuing education courses focusing on pelvic health, pregnancy, and postpartum physical therapy.

Driven to provide comprehensive care to mothers, Dr. [Name] became Odessa’s first certified Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach and continued her training through The Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. In the fall of 2018, she established Empower Physical Therapy & Wellness, offering concierge services to local moms and telehealth services to those outside the Midland/Odessa area.

While providing care to women throughout their pregnancies and postpartum journeys, Dr. [Name] recognized the importance of continuity of care and felt a desire to support mothers during labor as well. Consequently, she is currently working towards becoming a certified DONA doula and plans to offer doula services starting in the Spring of 2021.

Through her work with mothers, Dr. [Name] realized that they needed and deserved more support. Therefore, she has exciting plans for 2021, including a name change to Empower Every Mama, to better reflect her commitment to empowering and serving all mothers.
