Dr. Leslie Hagerty, a native of Michigan, has a strong background in physical therapy. After obtaining her PT Assistant degree in 2008, she gained experience in home health and outpatient care settings. Alongside her work, Dr. Hagerty was determined to further her education and pursue a doctorate degree.
In 2016, she successfully graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Findlay in Ohio. During her time there, Leslie excelled academically and even held the esteemed position of class president. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she graduated with high honors.
Dr. Hagerty’s personal experience with pelvic pain issues inspired her to focus her practice on treating pelvic dysfunction. Since 2011, she has been providing effective treatment for patients dealing with pelvic pain. To enhance her expertise in this area, Leslie completed two specialized clinical rotations in pelvic health. The first was in Lansing, MI, and the second in Jacksonville, FL.
In 2020, Dr. Hagerty, along with her husband, Dr. Will Hagerty, founded a non-profit organization called Sozo Rehabilitation. This organization primarily offers online physical therapy and mental health services to individuals in Michigan who do not have Medicare coverage. The services provided by Sozo do not require insurance or a physician referral. However, for those who prefer in-person consultations and have insurance or Medicare, a physician referral is necessary. They can schedule an appointment at Oaklawn PT on Beadle Lake Road in Battle Creek by contacting (269) 704-5180.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Dr. Hagerty has also dedicated her time to short-term missionary work. In 2018, she served as a missionary PT in Nicaragua, contributing to the healthcare needs of the local community. Additionally, Leslie actively participates in a pro bono clinic that serves her local community. Her passion for helping others extends beyond her professional practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Hagerty enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly engaging in activities such as bike riding. She also has a love for travel and cherishes the opportunity to explore new places. Leslie resides in south central Michigan with her husband and their son, enjoying the fulfilling life they have built together.
