Lauren, a physical therapist since 2006, has always had a strong interest in movement. Her journey began at the age of three when she started taking dance lessons, and her passion for it only grew. Initially, Lauren started her career in geriatrics, working in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. However, after two years, she felt the need for more adventure in her life.

This desire led Lauren to become a traveling physical therapist, gaining valuable experience working in various locations across the country, including New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Maryland, and Washington D.C. As she embarked on this journey and learned more about herself and her profession, Lauren stumbled upon something new and intriguing – pelvic floor physical therapy.

In 2010, Lauren developed a keen interest in pelvic health and made the bold decision to transition from geriatrics. She underwent training through the renowned Herman and Wallace Institute, completing levels 1 and 2 of their program. Since then, she has dedicated herself to treating women and men of all ages with complex pelvic issues, finding true passion in this specialized area of physical therapy.

To enhance her skills in treating the lumbopelvic and abdominal region, Lauren pursued further education in visceral mobilization through Herman and Wallace. She also expanded her repertoire by completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training, adding yoga to her practice. Additionally, she has begun training through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute with the goal of becoming a Professional Yoga Therapist. Lauren thoroughly enjoys combining both yoga and physical therapy, finding immense satisfaction in this integrated approach.

Believing in the importance of holistic care, Lauren emphasizes the integration of all aspects of her patients’ lives – physical, psycho-social emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and energetic. She feels incredibly grateful to have found a way to merge her two passions, yoga and pelvic physical therapy, and she eagerly shares this combination with her patients.
