Lauren Scully, PT, DPT, PRPC obtained her doctorate in physical therapy from Ithaca College in December 2006. Following her graduation, she returned to her hometown of Brooklyn, NY and started working at Lutheran Rehabilitation at Shore Road, an outpatient clinic affiliated with Lutheran Medical Center. While working there, Lauren developed a keen interest in Women’s Health, which was further enriched by completing multiple courses through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. In 2008, she began treating individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction, catering to both men and women.

Throughout her career, Lauren has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and functionality of her patients. She finds treating this specific population to be incredibly fulfilling. In addition to her specialization in Women’s Health, Lauren also provides care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions.

In 2019, Lauren transitioned from her position at NYU Rusk Rehabilitation (Shore Road) and recently became a part of the exceptional team of Pelvic Rehab therapists at ProTouch Physical Therapy in Cranford, New Jersey. Her treatment approach primarily revolves around manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, and educating her clients.

When she’s not working, Lauren thoroughly enjoys participating in marathons, having completed the NYC marathon twice. She also takes part in various multi-distance triathlons, ranging from sprint to Half-Iron distance races. In 2012, she even accomplished the impressive feat of “Escaping from Alcatraz.”
