Lauren, a native of Oklahoma City, OK, is excited to return to her hometown and bring her family along. She holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and is certified in mat and equipment Pilates from Lotus Pilates, trained by Corinna Cosentino-Quintana. Lauren’s education includes a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University Bloomington, where she specialized in Ballet Performance with a focus on Kinesiology.
Since 2008, Lauren has been teaching Pilates and has been practicing as a Physical Therapist since 2013. Her introduction to Pilates occurred during her time as a ballet student at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She found it beneficial for conditioning and injury rehabilitation throughout her ballet training at various institutions, including the Harid Conservatory, National Ballet School of Canada, Indiana University, and her professional dance career with Texas Dance Theatre.
After becoming a mother, Lauren developed a keen interest in pelvic rehabilitation and women’s health. She pursued additional education and training through the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Women’s Health, completing the CAPP Pelvic series coursework. She also attended courses offered by the Herman Wallace & Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
Lauren is thrilled to join the FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers family and is eager to provide specialized programs for pelvic health, vestibular, and balance rehabilitation to the Oklahoma City community. She has received training from Brian Werner, PT, MPT, the National Director of Balance Programs for FYZICAL, for vestibular rehab. Additionally, she is working with Cindy Neville, PT, DPT, WCS, the National Director of Pelvic Health and Wellness for FYZICAL, to further enhance her knowledge in pelvic health.
Lauren’s priority is to ensure that the people of Oklahoma City receive the best care and follow the most effective protocols available.
