Kristy Setnes, a graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1991 with a degree in physical therapy, has a wealth of experience in clinical orthopedic settings. For 12 years, she specialized in spine care, gaining extensive knowledge in this area. In 1994, Kristy joined the outpatient team at Regions Hospital in St Paul, where she discovered her true passion for pelvic health rehabilitation.

As the lead specialist in pelvic health for over two decades, Kristy has dedicated her career to providing care to individuals of all genders and age groups who struggle with various pelvic health issues. Her expertise lies in addressing bowel and bladder problems, chronic and acute abdominal and pelvic pain, as well as complex spine, sacroiliac (SI), and coccyx disorders. In 2016, she obtained her certification as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner through Herman and Wallace, further solidifying her knowledge and skills in this specialized field.

Recognizing the need for effective and timely care, Kristy recently opened her private practice, DesitaCare, in St Paul, MN. Despite her many years of experience, she remains eager to learn from her patients, as well as from other healthcare providers and peers. For Kristy, the joy of her work stems from her love for what she does – it never feels like work when you are passionate about your profession.
