As a physical therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics, the individual assists patients with neuromusculoskeletal injuries, both acute and chronic. They provide a range of treatments including lumbar and cervical spine care, therapy for pelvic ring disorders, headache and concussion therapy, and sports medicine therapy. Additionally, they have received specialized training in treating pelvic floor conditions and peripartum rehabilitation, addressing issues such as pelvic pain, urinary and bowel incontinence, and abdominal discomfort. The individual also offers dry needling as a method to alleviate pain, using filament needles to target trigger points in muscles. With advanced training in manual therapy and fascial release, they take a multi-modal approach to patient care. Originally from Carstairs, Alberta, Canada, the individual moved to the United States to play hockey for the University of Minnesota, where they were part of the 2004 NCAA championship-winning team. They later coached the Edina High School varsity girls’ hockey team. The individual is married to Andrew and together they have two children, Connor and Kate, whom they coach in the Waconia Hockey Association.
