Kelley Kukis, DPT, PRPC has an extensive background in teaching breath and movement, with over 20 years of experience as a swim, dance, and yoga instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Natural Sciences, as well as a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS), where she graduated summa cum laude.
During her five years as an elementary teacher, Kelley had the opportunity to collaborate with school therapists, which sparked her interest in the field of physical therapy and inspired her to pursue further education. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from CSUS, focusing her doctoral research on patients with multiple sclerosis.
Since 2016, Kelley has been working with both adult and pediatric patients who experience pelvic floor dysfunction at East Sacramento Physical Therapy. In 2017, she obtained her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC), further enhancing her expertise in this area.
In her free time, Kelley enjoys traveling between Portland and Los Angeles to spend time with her eight adorable nieces and nephews. While in Sacramento, she engages in aerial arts, practices yoga in the park, and hones her knowledge through participation in trivia competitions.
Kelley’s specialty areas include pediatric and adult pelvic floor dysfunction, transgender care, incontinence and elimination disorders, pelvic and sexual pain, EMG biofeedback, yoga and breath work, as well as providing care for the LGBTQ+ community.
