Kaylen, a graduate of Des Moines University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017, has a strong background in the field. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2014. With a particular interest in the pelvic floor, Kaylen specializes in treating conditions such as pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pregnancy-related pain, postpartum rehabilitation, diastasis recti abdominis, and pelvic organ prolapse. However, her expertise is not limited to these areas as she also enjoys working with patients suffering from hip and back pain, as well as older adults.
Kaylen firmly believes in a patient-centered approach to treatment, where the patient’s goals take precedence. Whether it’s enabling someone to garden without experiencing back pain or helping another person run 10 miles without leaking, Kaylen works closely with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans. These plans often include a combination of movement and exercise techniques, as well as manual therapy approaches.
To further enhance her skills, Kaylen has undergone training in Pelvic Health 1, Fundamental Topics of Pregnancy and Postpartum through the American Physical Therapy Association, and Dry Needling. With her extensive knowledge and dedication to her patients’ well-being, Kaylen continues to provide exceptional care within her field.
