Jodi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 1988. Throughout her career, she has gained experience working in various settings across Alberta, British Columbia, and England. Initially, Jodi focused on orthopedic rehabilitation, but since 2000, she has combined this with a specialization in pelvic rehabilitation for pain and dysfunction.
Jodi’s commitment to expanding her knowledge and skills is evident through her completion of postgraduate courses in areas such as incontinence, pain management, sexual health, pelvic dysfunction, and orthopedics. With her expertise, Jodi effectively manages and treats bladder and bowel control issues in both males and females, as well as pelvic pain in both genders. She is also skilled in addressing pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain and guiding postnatal individuals back to fitness.
In addition to her clinical work, Jodi is dedicated to educating the community about pelvic health. She offers classes for the general public and specifically for those who have undergone pelvic cancer treatment. Jodi believes that providing education and fostering a better understanding of the latest evidence is crucial for individuals to learn about their conditions, improve their function, and regain engagement in the activities that matter to them.
To ensure she provides the best care possible, Jodi regularly attends local and international continuing education opportunities. By staying updated on the latest evidence and treatment strategies for pelvic disorders and chronic pain, she remains at the forefront of her field.
