Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Adelphi University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Long Island University – Brooklyn. Throughout her academic journey, she has been recognized by the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) with the Brooklyn/Staten Island District Student Achievement Award and Minority Student NYPTA Leader Award. Jennifer continuously enhances her clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills through various continuing education courses.
In 2016, Jennifer obtained a certification in Functional Manual Therapy with the Institute of Physical Art, further refining her skills in this area. She is currently pursuing additional manual therapy training with the Jones Institute and Counterstrain Academy, specializing in Fascial Counterstrain techniques. Furthermore, Jennifer has received training from the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, focusing on Women’s Pelvic Health. She has a particular interest in addressing conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and various bowel and bladder disorders, including urinary incontinence and constipation.
Jennifer’s treatment approach centers around identifying the underlying causes of dysfunctions in the body that contribute to inefficient movement. She believes in collaborating closely with her patients to help them achieve optimal function and movement. Her dedication to the field of physical therapy is evident through her research publications in the Anatomy and Physiology Journal, as well as her presentations at local and national conferences. Jennifer intends to continue her pursuit of knowledge by participating in ongoing research efforts.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Jennifer actively engages in community service and fellowship activities. She maintains an active lifestyle by participating in hiking and sports such as bowling and handball, which she previously competed in during high school. Jennifer also has a strong passion for baseball, hockey, and football, and enjoys following these sports as a dedicated fan.
