Dr. Briggs holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from Duke University and a B.S. Degree in Biology/Physiology with a Minor in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University (Main Campus). Currently, Dr. Briggs practices at Physical Therapy for Women, LLC in Wilmington, DE. With extensive experience in pelvic health and orthopedics, Dr. Briggs is a CAPP-PELVIC Certified Physical Therapist specializing in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, pain, and common pelvic and women’s health diagnoses with musculoskeletal origins. Driven by a passion for pelvic and women’s health, Dr. Briggs’s areas of expertise include pelvic pain conditions (such as vulvodynia, vestibulitis, IC/PBS, pudendal neuralgia, dyspareunia, vaginismus, endometriosis, and other pelvic pain-related diagnoses), pregnancy and postpartum musculoskeletal dysfunction, bladder symptoms (including urinary urgency, frequency, and incontinence), bowel symptoms and colorectal disorders, pelvic organ prolapse, osteoporosis management, generalized pelvic girdle/back/hip pain, and gender affirming care. Dr. Briggs is also an advocate for prenatal/4th trimester awareness and pelvic health awareness during the menopause transition. Throughout Dr. Briggs’s career, they have dedicated themselves to promoting pelvic health and wellness across the lifespan. Initially, Dr. Briggs gained valuable experience working alongside exceptional colleagues, practitioners, and patients in the Raleigh-Durham area of NC. In 2009, they relocated to the Delaware/Southeastern PA region, where they have continued to learn from and build lasting relationships with their patients.
