Janine is the owner and founder of Healthy Core Wellness & Rehab, a highly regarded pelvic health private practice located in northeast Ohio. She specializes in the treatment of pelvic girdle and core dysfunctions, and is dedicated to empowering individuals, particularly women, in reducing chronic pain and dysfunction.
With a strong background in healthcare, Janine began her career in hospital-based outpatient facilities and wellness centers. However, her passion for providing personalized care led her to establish her own practice in 2009. Over the years, she has been invited to speak at local events on various women’s health topics and has shared her expertise through authoring enewsletters, blogs, and making appearances on radio and television.
Janine’s commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills is evident in her ongoing pursuit of professional development. She graduated cum laude with a B.S. in physical therapy from Bowling Green State University in consortium with the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1993. Through her extensive postgraduate education, she has acquired expertise in areas such as advanced manual therapy, the McKenzie Method, pre and postnatal dysfunctions, and Pilates. Her treatment approach incorporates a range of techniques including Integrative Dry Needling, visceral mobilization, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, vacuum cupping, percussion therapy, kinesiology taping, and therapeutic exercise that incorporates Pilates principles to retrain the core.
Janine’s specialized skill set allows her to effectively treat patients with chronic myofascial pain syndromes and pelvic girdle dysfunctions, including sacroiliac and pelvic floor dysfunctions that impact bladder, bowel, and sexual function. She is currently in the process of writing a book on healing the core, further demonstrating her commitment to sharing her knowledge and empowering individuals on their wellness journeys.
