Jamille Niewiara PT, DPT hails from Chicago and relocated to Austin in 2015. After completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in April 2016, she joined Sullivan Physical Therapy as a pelvic floor physical therapist. Specializing in treating pelvic floor diagnoses, Jamille finds fulfillment in her role as a clinical instructor at Sullivan Physical Therapy, where she imparts her knowledge and skills to future pelvic floor physical therapists. Additionally, she co-hosts a patient-oriented podcast called “PT: Below the Waist,” which delves into topics related to pelvic floor physical therapy and its impact on bladder, bowel, and sexual function issues.

Jamille is an active member of the Texas Chapter and Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. She holds a certification in LSVT Big, an evidence-based treatment approach for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Furthermore, she serves as an instructor for Alcove Education, a pelvic floor continuing education company, where she played a significant role in developing the curriculum titled “Diving into Pelvic Floor.” This introductory course equips therapists and students with minimal background in pelvic floor physical therapy with essential knowledge on basic anatomy, physiology, diagnoses, and treatment for pelvic floor conditions.
