Dr. Heather Swain earned her B.S in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University in 2013 and later completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo in 2016. Following her graduation, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked full-time in an outpatient private practice and part-time in home health. During this time, she developed a keen interest in complex chronic pain, TMJ problems, migraines, and POTS.

In 2020, Dr. Swain decided to expand her knowledge and treatment options by studying and treating pelvic health, allowing her to provide more comprehensive care to her chronic pain patients. She has gained experience in various female pelvic floor conditions, including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bowel problems, pregnancy-related care, and pelvic pain. To further enhance her expertise, she has completed additional specialized coursework in sexual medicine, female infertility care, visceral mobilization for gastrointestinal problems, and dry needling. Dr. Swain is proficient in both English and Spanish, enabling her to serve a diverse range of patients.

In 2022, Dr. Swain fulfilled her vision of opening her own practice, dedicated to providing pelvic PT services in the Toledo area. In an effort to prioritize trauma-informed care, she also offers concierge services. This unique service ensures that patients with a history of trauma can access pelvic healthcare in the comfort and safety of their own homes, mitigating any potential triggers that may arise in medical office settings.
