Dr. LeFort obtained her Bachelor of Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2008. In 2016, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas. Throughout her academic journey, she discovered the significance and necessity of manual therapy in enhancing movement and muscle performance. Her passion lies in enhancing the mobility and comfort of her patients within their own bodies. She understands that various changes occur due to surgeries, childbirth, and aging, and she strives to optimize her patients’ ability to care for themselves, enjoy time with their families, return to work, and regain their sense of self. Dr. LeFort established Magnolia Movement, a specialized clinic focusing on women’s pelvic health and oncology rehabilitation, with the aim of providing high-quality physical therapy care to the South Louisiana community. Although she and her family relocated to McKinney, Texas after she completed her DPT program, Dr. Heather, a native of Acadiana, has now returned home to be closer to her loved ones and offer the Acadiana area the physical therapy care it deserves. In her free time, Dr. LeFort and her husband enjoy the company of their two young daughters. They have a shared love for watching movies and spending time outdoors, especially near bodies of water.
