Gillian holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, which she obtained from Andrews University in 1998. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings. However, in 2013, Gillian developed a particular interest in treating abdominal and pelvic floor conditions, leading her to become a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist.
With her expertise in this specialized area, Gillian is skilled in addressing a range of issues, including bowel and bladder problems, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and diastasis recti. She recognizes the significant impact that pain and pelvic floor dysfunctions can have on various stages of life, such as pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, and other natural transitions. Motivated by her deep passion for helping others, Gillian strives to develop effective strategies that enable individuals to engage in activities they enjoy and care for themselves and their loved ones without unnecessary suffering.
In addition to her clinical work, Gillian harbors a strong desire to educate others. As an APTA-certified clinical instructor, she actively imparts her knowledge to aspiring physical therapists. Moreover, she conducts community classes and online programs specifically geared towards Pelvic Health conditions. Continually seeking to expand her expertise, Gillian pursues ongoing certifications with esteemed organizations such as the APTA, NAIOMT, and Herman & Wallace. Furthermore, she has acquired advanced training in visceral manipulation through The Barral Institute.
