Dr. Emily Priestas, the owner and founder of Paradigm Pelvic Health & Wellness, holds a B.S. in exercise physiology and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University. With her board certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist, she stands among the top 10% of physical therapists. Dr. Emily has undergone advanced training in evaluating and treating the pelvic floor through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is also recognized as a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist and has received advanced dry needling training from Myopain Seminars.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Priestas serves as adjunct faculty for the Marshall University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where she teaches the pelvic health curriculum to 3rd year PT students. She is passionate about introducing the field of pelvic health to future physical therapists and emphasizes that it is a subspecialty of orthopedic physical therapy. Dr. Emily specializes in treating various pelvic dysfunctions throughout the lifespan, including chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, pudendal neuralgia, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and vulvodynia.

Dr. Emily takes a holistic approach to healthcare, looking beyond the pelvic floor to uncover the underlying causes of patients’ conditions. Her extensive sports and orthopedic training also make her an excellent choice for athletes seeking personalized, hands-on treatment or guidance for safe exercise during pregnancy, postpartum, or post-operative recovery.

Originally from Smithsburg, Maryland, Dr. Priestas enjoys running, practicing Pilates, cooking, baking, and spending quality time with her family when she is not treating patients.
