Emily is an experienced physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor and orthopedic conditions. With over 20 years of practice across five different states, she has treated patients with complex orthopedic, neurologic, and pelvic floor related conditions, as well as sports-related injuries and post-surgical needs. Emily holds a BA in Biology from St. Olaf College and a Masters of Physical Therapy from Mayo Graduate School of Health Sciences.
Emily’s expertise and passion lie at the intersection of orthopedics and pelvic physical therapy. She has received advanced training in treating pelvic pain and musculoskeletal impairments. When evaluating patients, Emily takes a comprehensive approach, considering the whole body through the Integrated Systems Model. She is a trained pelvic floor therapist through both Hermann & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Training and the American Physical Therapy CAPP program.
Emily has extensive experience in treating patients of all genders with pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence. She also works with perinatal and postpartum patients who are looking to return to sport. In her practice, Emily utilizes a variety of manual treatment techniques, such as visceral mobilization. She is certified in functional dry needling and pelvic floor therapy, allowing her to tailor treatment plans to each patient’s specific goals.
Aside from her work as a physical therapist, Emily is a multi-sport enthusiast and musician. She is passionate about helping others stay active and achieve their goals. Emily is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Pelvic Pain Society.
