Beth has dedicated her career to specializing in pelvic physical therapy for the past 25 years. She obtained a double BS degree in Biology and Chemistry from Meredith College and went on to earn her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University in 1997. Beth’s primary areas of expertise lie in the treatment of various forms of pelvic pain in both female and male patients, as well as prolapse, urinary/bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, and abdominal issues.
To address these conditions, Beth combines her comprehensive training in orthopedic, neurologic, visceral, and musculoskeletal elements with the specific goals of each patient. She adopts an eclectic treatment approach, utilizing multiple forms of therapy as she recognizes that not all individuals respond the same way to similar treatments.
Beth stands out as one of the few therapists who have achieved dual board certification as a Women’s Health (WCS) specialist and as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC). She has pursued extensive post-graduate training with a focus on manual therapeutic interventions and pelvic rehabilitation, including dry needling and Redcord / Neurac techniques.
A dedicated member of various professional organizations, Beth actively participates in the International Pelvic Pain Society, American Physical Therapy Association – Section on Women’s Health, National Vulvodynia Association, Interstitial Cystitis Association, International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, and American Urogynecologic Association. Additionally, she serves as the founding PT member of the Emory University Hospital Pelvic Multidisciplinary Team.
Before settling in Decatur, GA, Beth co-founded a PT clinic in her hometown of Asheville, NC. She is not only a passionate physical therapist but also a loving mother, dancer, hiker, wife, and friend. Beth’s enthusiasm for pelvic therapy shines through in all aspects of her life.
