Dr. Nicholas Vernola Jr. is a physical therapist with a strong educational background. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science from the State University of New York at Cortland, where he developed a passion for working with athletes. Dr. Nick then pursued further education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

During his time as a DPT student, Dr. Nick went beyond the curriculum to gain additional certifications. He specialized in pelvic health by completing courses offered by third-party educational groups like the Section on Women’s Health. This allowed him to gain advanced knowledge of pelvic anatomy, which he believed was often overlooked in relation to athletes’ performance.

To deepen his understanding of pelvic health, Dr. Nick went beyond the classroom and sought practical experience. He shadowed gynecologists, urologists, and other physical therapists at renowned hospitals in New York City, such as Memorial Sloan Kettering.

With his extensive knowledge and practical experience, Dr. Nick relocated to Connecticut, where he worked with a diverse range of athletes including crossfitters, super marathoners, crew rowers, figure skaters, and dancers. He applied his expertise to help them optimize their performance and prevent injuries.

Now based in Decatur, Georgia, Dr. Nick continues to serve his patients while pursuing his personal interests. In his free time, he can be found immersing himself in his favorite comic books at local cafes or going for runs along the railroad tracks.
