Dr. Tasha, a Florida native with Jamaican heritage, embarked on her educational journey at The University of Florida, where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences in 2004. After establishing her own health and wellness company, Defined Changes, and working as a personal trainer, Dr. Tasha realized her passion for delving deeper into the realm of exercise for rehabilitation rather than solely fitness. With this newfound goal, she enrolled at Emory University, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2011.

Dr. Tasha’s primary focus is women’s pelvic health therapy, with the aim of empowering women to embrace and cherish their bodies, reestablish their connection with themselves, and cultivate an unstoppable mindset. Through personalized one-on-one treatments, she assists and educates individuals dealing with “common” conditions such as urinary and bowel incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, constipation, pelvic pain, post-surgical pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse. By providing these services, Dr. Tasha enables her patients to regain control over their bodies.

Additionally, Dr. Tasha specializes in preparing women’s pelvic floor and core muscles for childbirth, as well as guiding them through various postpartum phases to restore confidence and functionality in their bodies. At Starting Pointe Therapy and Wellness, Dr. Tasha and her husband, Monte Jackson, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, have combined their expertise to offer a comprehensive range of services in women’s health on Florida’s Treasure Coast. They believe in addressing physical health and mental well-being through a holistic approach that encompasses physical therapy, mental health therapy, and wellness services.
