She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO in 2011. Immediately after graduation, she began her post-doctoral training in women’s and men’s health issues, focusing on treating bladder and bowel issues, pelvic pain, and orthopedic conditions. Her passion for Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and commitment to excellence continue to inspire her personal mission of increasing public awareness about the effectiveness of Physical Therapy in treating bladder and bowel issues and pelvic pain. She finds it rewarding to empower her patients to regain control over their bladder and bowel issues or reduce their pain so that they can enjoy their lives again. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, taking care of her pony at the barn, and capturing the beauty of the world through photography.
Her educational and professional development includes completing various courses and certifications:
– Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute courses: Pelvic Floor Certification Series (Levels 1, 2A, 2B, 3), Bowel Pathology, Function, Dysfunction and the Pelvic Floor, and Differential Diagnostics of Chronic Pelvic Pain.
– Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments courses: Dry Needling Level 1, Lower Quarter Examinations and Treatments, and Lumbo-Pelvic Examinations and Treatments.
– The American Academy of Manipulative Therapy courses: Dry Needling Level 1 and 2.
– The Barral Institute course: Visceral Manipulation Level 1.
– She was also recognized as a Featured Pelvic Health Physical Therapist by the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in January 2015.
– She is a general member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2008 and a member of the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health since 2010.
