Darcie is a highly skilled clinician with over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist. Throughout her career, she has gained expertise in various areas such as manual therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, and neurology. Her passion for women’s health and her personal experiences with medical issues from a young age have led her to specialize in pelvic health.
After the birth of her first daughter a decade ago, Darcie started delving deeper into the field of pelvic health. She began teaching a postpartum exercise class and dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge in this area. With each passing year, she continues to broaden her depth of understanding and adopts a holistic approach to pelvic rehabilitation, considering the entire body during treatment.
Darcie’s wide-ranging background allows her to integrate different skills and movement principles into her treatment of individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction. In 2017, she obtained her Performance Enhancement Certification to enhance her comprehension of progressive strength training and sports-specific exercises. Moreover, she has pursued various clinical education courses specifically related to pelvic health.
These courses include The Herman & Wallace pregnancy course, Coccydynia Course, Pelvic Rehab 1 & 2a, Visceral Mobilization L1, and Barnes MFR coursework. Additionally, Darcie has undertaken numerous functional courses focused on the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. Some examples of these additional courses include Julie Wiebe Piston Science parts 1 & 2, Susan Clinton/Julie Wiebe “From the Glottis to the Pelvic Floor,” visceral mobilization, Endometriosis Accelerator Coaching Program, Perimenopausal and Menopausal Certificate Program, and Chronic Pelvic Pain Professional Training Program.
Darcie’s dedication to continuous learning and her comprehensive approach to pelvic health make her a valuable and knowledgeable resource for her patients.
