Cristina, a Long Island native, holds both a Bachelor’s and Doctoral degree from Northeastern University. Throughout her time as a student, she was recognized with numerous scholarships and accolades for her dedication to community service and her commitment to the field of physical therapy. It was during her studies that Cristina’s passion for advocating for and treating pelvic floor dysfunction first took root, and it has only continued to grow since then.
Cristina has pursued further education through post-graduate trainings at the Herman and Wallace institute, with plans to obtain her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification in the near future. Her clinical interests encompass a wide range of areas, including pelvic pain conditions (such as dyspareunia, vulvodynia, endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, coccydynia, and interstitial cystitis), sexual dysfunction, postpartum rehabilitation, birthing preparation, bowel and bladder dysfunction, and complex chronic pelvic girdle, hip, and low back pain.
When it comes to treatment, Cristina takes an interdisciplinary and holistic approach, considering the entire body rather than just focusing on specific body parts. She holds a strong belief in treating each individual as a whole, with care and consideration. Her utmost priority is to break down the stigma surrounding pelvic function and dysfunction, aiming to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for her patients. In her office, there is no such thing as “too much information” (TMI).
