Corey Hazama, a renowned pelvic floor physical therapist, is the co-founder of Beyond Basics Physical Therapy located in Downtown New York City. With a focus on aiding individuals of all genders, Corey specializes in the recovery of various conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction. These include pelvic pain and dysfunction, bowel and bladder disorders, prenatal and postpartum support, gender affirming care and support, as well as orthopedic conditions.
Corey holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College. Additionally, Corey is certified as an Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) and a Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Furthermore, Corey is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CMFT) through the Institute of Physical Art and has obtained a Pelvic Rehabilitation Certification from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Institute.
Actively involved in the field, Corey is a member of various professional organizations and committees.
