Cheresa, a graduate of Old Dominion University, obtained a bachelor’s degree in dance performance. Seeking further education and growth, she relocated to New York to pursue her studies at the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her extensive background in ballet and modern dance not only fueled her passion for movement science but also instilled in her an understanding of the crucial role played by the core and pelvic floor in physical training.

After dedicating four years to performing, Cheresa felt a pull back towards academia and decided to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. Alongside her training at the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, she had the privilege of learning from two esteemed experts in pelvic floor rehabilitation. This exposure equipped her with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively treat a diverse range of orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions in both men and women.
