The individual studied Kinesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree. They then pursued further education at UAB, joining the DPT program and successfully completing it in December 2020. Their interest in pelvic health rehabilitation began during their time in PT school, when they noticed the growing discussion on social media about incontinence in weightlifting and powerlifting. This sparked their decision to delve into pelvic health courses after graduating from PT school. Currently, they dedicate their time to practicing pelvic floor physical therapy on a full-time basis. Additionally, they are a competitive Olympic weightlifter and have a strong passion for assisting individuals with incontinence or pelvic pain in returning to their regular recreational activities. Their ultimate goal is to eliminate the stigma surrounding conversations about pelvic health and ensure that their patients understand they are not alone. They aim to raise awareness about the benefits of physical therapy in addressing pelvic health issues.
