Carol obtained her physical therapy degree from the University of Colorado Medical Center in 1976. In 1977, she relocated to Portland where she secured a position at a prominent physical therapy clinic, where she worked for a span of five years. In 1982, Carol took the leap and established her own private practice, gradually assembling a skilled team of professionals and building a reputable reputation within the Portland health community.

Carol’s dedication to professional development is evident through her commitment to pursuing numerous hours of post-graduate education each year. This ongoing pursuit allows her to cultivate specialized skills in physical therapy and provide comprehensive care to her patients. She possesses a particular interest and expertise in areas such as women’s pelvic floor health, pre/postpartum care, and head/neck/face pain.

In her practice, Carol employs an eclectic approach to patient care. She integrates various techniques, including visceral/cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, massage/mobilization, movement/exercise, and biofeedback, to effectively restore health and well-being. Carol prioritizes active listening, valuing her clients’ personal narratives and empowering them to take charge of their self-care.

Outside of work, Carol cherishes spending quality time with her five children. She frequently accompanies them on their musical endeavors, serving as a behind-the-scenes helper for the family’s Celtic and folk music band during their travels throughout the Pacific Northwest. To unwind, Carol finds solace in activities such as hiking, gardening, and swimming in mountain lakes.

Carol is an esteemed member of professional organizations such as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Oregon Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), the Orthopedic Section of APTA, and the OB/GYN Section of APTA. Additionally, she is licensed to practice physical therapy in both Oregon and California.
